The Ramakrishna Math, Ulsoor is engaged in various religious and charitable social service activities for the benefit of the society.

All the social service activities are rendered irrespective of caste, creed or religion. The beneficiaries are from economically weaker section of the society.

Following are the main welfare activities :-

Free Eye Camps - Free Eye Camps - Under this scheme nearly 800 patients are screened every month and about 250 cataract operations are arranged free of cost to the patients, with IOL implant. By the grace of Sri Ramakrishna, as of June, 2009 the math has conducted 14,100, cataract operations out of 40,329 screened patients through 426 camps held since 1999.

Vivekananda Charitable Dispensary - Math has been providing medical services to the needy persons through the newly constructed "Vivekananda Charitable Dispensary". Consultancy and Medicines are given free of cost. From June 2007 to Sept 2008, a total of 16000 patients have been treated.

Rural Schools Welfare - As part of its welfare activities, the math distributes school uniforms, notebooks and other educational materials to school children studying in Govt. Primary and High schools. This year, by this scheme 14,291 students from 120 schools are benefitted.

Vivekananda Coaching Center for free coaching classes to 1163 rural students.

Value Education : Rs 7 Lakhs
Distress Relief : Rs 3.5 Lakhs

All contributions are exempt from Income Tax u/s 80G of the I.T. act 1961.
